List of Changes in UPI from August 1st 2025 – The National Payments Corporation of India is set to implement the following changes to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) from Friday, August 1.
- Users can use any UPI app up to 50 times a day to check bank balance.
- Customers can check the pending transaction status only three times a day, at an interval of 90 seconds.
- Auto payments like bills, and OTT subscriptions will be processed during the non-peak hours (before 10:00 am, between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, and after 9:30 pm).
- Information of bank accounts linked to mobile numbers can be viewed only 25 times in a day.
- The available balance will be shown after each transaction.
These new rules aim to enhance system performance and reduce fraud risks across the country, said NPCI in a statement.
