Aadhaar Address Change Process – Methods

You can update your Aadhaar card address through two primary methods: online via the UIDAI portal or offline by visiting an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrollment Center. Below, we outline both processes.

Online Aadhaar Address Update

The online method is convenient if you have access to your registered mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the UIDAI Website:
    Go to the official UIDAI website (https://uidai.gov.in/) or the myAadhaar portal (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/).

  2. Log In to Your Account:

    • Select the “Login” option.

    • Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha code.

    • Click “Send OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number.

    • Enter the OTP to log in.

  3. Select Update Option:

    • Navigate to the “Update Aadhaar” section.

    • Choose “Update Address” from the available options.

  4. Upload Address Proof:

    • You’ll need a valid proof of address, such as a utility bill, passport, bank statement, ration card, or voter ID. A complete list of acceptable documents is available on the UIDAI website.

    • Upload a scanned copy of your address proof in the required format (PDF, JPEG, or PNG, typically under 2 MB).

  5. Submit Request:

    • Review your new address details and submit the request.

Note: If your mobile number is not linked to your Aadhaar, you cannot use the online method. In such cases, opt for the offline process.

Offline Aadhaar Address Update
